Jesus Cares & Carries
You!
This message is
prepared for those who are disheartened so that on reading this they might turn
around to get on to the winning ways with Lord Jesus, The Victor!
Winning ways!
Victory comes when we have the assurance that we can win over the
issues that confront us. Some times the challenges that we face will torment us day in and day out. In such situations, we need to submit them and also submit ourselves into the hands of the Mighty
One in order to inherit the desired Victory. Man is fragile by his ability and also by his existence but he can become strong and face the challenges if backed up by a strong treasure of
winning resources. God can administer the fruits of Victory in our lives if only we could acknowledge His sovereignty over our fatal errors of life.
He gives us His daily guidance that enables us to be Victors. We suffer a lot due to lack of knowledge and eventually perish to eternal damnation.
My people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will
also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten
the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6.
In spite of being
ignorant we have a provision to become a victor that is by acknowledging the help
line which God
extends to us. We need to understand that
God has a special plan for us according to the following verse from the Holy
Bible.
My
beloved I wish that you prosper in all things and be be in good health even as
your soul prospers. III John 2.
Jesus said: in this
world you'll have tribulation in the form of trials, distress and frustration
but be of good cheer for I have overcome the World! Well, the Master had already
gone through every torment that would confront mankind in day-to-day life. The
Bible says that God so loved the World meaning that He loves even the worst of
the wicked people on earth so that they would accept Him and give up their evil
ways to serve Him lest they would be damned for ever in the lake of fire which
is hell.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
The Lord Jesus died for us on the cross of Calvary and victoriously rose from the grave on the third day. We believe in this Victory which our Lord Jesus had won for us 2000 years ago. This is the only mega Victory obtained over sin and death. In a similar fashion, we must acknowledge that we have no reason to suffer on earth according to the plan of God. Our purpose on earth is not to go through sufferings but there is an enemy who wants to take us away from the Word of God and eventually from the center of the will of God so that we may suffer miserably and unintentionally. Every Worry is an attack from the camps of the enemy and we need to surrender such evil influenced threats at the Master's feet for a reasonable victory over all that confront us. Our enemy hates our Father in heaven and eventually hates us endlessly or eternally. There is no question of a compromise with this enemy who mercilessly desires our damnation in hell.
The
Bible says
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.2 Corinthians 2:14
Let us see what the
Bible Says about the worries that we are prone to experience in our lives.
We sure need some one to lean on in times of trouble. Here is the word from a
great man of God and he is none other than King David himself:
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22.
The above scriptural
quote has three mysteries to unleash on our part as we read the Holy Scriptures
they are:
1) Casting our burdens upon the Lord (You do not carry the load as the price for which was paid for on the Cross of Calvary and it is written in the Blood Covenant).
2) The Lord is our
Sustainer (You are eternity bound,
as your master is the Prince of Life).
3) The Lord does not
suffer the righteous to be moved. (You are not disposable by the enemy rather you shunt him out from
every portion of your blessed life).
We must understand the
above three principles that were applied by King David in his times of trouble.
We should have faith in the Lord Jesus that He is able to deliver us from all
the trouble that we are forced to face. The Bible says that He surely has borne
our grief and carried our sorrows. Isaiah 53:4
Surely he hath
borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:4
Our God is the author and pioneer of our faith as He sustains us
from every sin that entangles us in this life. Apostle Paul writes His
epistle to the Hebrews and says it is like a running race where we need to be
focused on to the goal and run towards the goal and we are not forced to finish
overnight but are supposed to complete it faithfully. The Only issue he
referred in his writings is that we need to lay aside every sin that tries to
entangle us. In other words, our sins will hurdle us in the long race of
Christian living and we need to be focused on the goal where we are bound to
receive the Crown of Life (James 1:12) and we need to lay aside every disturbance that
awaits us. Amen.
He (Jesus) is the Author
and Pioneer of Our Faith. Hebrews12:1
Lamb of God that
carried the sins of the World!
John The Baptist
confirmed the vision filled prophecy of the Prophet Isaiah and thus introduced
the Lord Jesus to this World as the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the
World. John1: 29.
Stone for sin: Let me explain a real incident that took place 2000 years ago which I think would be sufficient for us to understand that Jesus carried our sorrows and had borne our grief's. All this real and beautiful story is written in the book of John chapter 8.
Once the Lord Jesus was preaching in the Temple and there
came a mob of cruel Jews who found and brought her while she was committing
adultery. They said that the Law of Moses permits them to kill her by stoning,
as the sin of adultery was such undesired practice in the Jewish community for
so many centuries. They insisted Jesus to speak a word or pronounce His verdict
as a reward to her sinful practice. Jesus began to write something on the
ground and they still agitated further and demanded a verdict from the Lord.
Jesus said " those has no sin may cast the first stone on that lady"
and began to write on the ground once again. People this time could understand
that Jesus was writing their sins on the ground and everyone ran away from
temple. The Lord Jesus in the Temple convicted all of them both the young and
the old of their sin and they did not realize that Jesus is the Son of God who
can reveal the hidden sin and also destroy it with His forgiveness through His
Holy Word Blood and Spirit.
Grace for Law:
Any
one who does not understand that Jesus can forgive and heal will not be able to
trust Him. You must first know what Jesus did and you'll know why He did then
you'll believe that it was all done for you and all those who are living
away from Him. Well its all about the Cross on which He suffered for everyone of
us. The bible says that Jesus was left alone for that woman in the temple, which
means the situations will push us close to God's presence that is available at the
Master's feet. That lady's life was scheduled for death by stoning on that
morning according to the Law but according to the schedule of the Almighty who
is the Gracious One, she will be forgiven of her sin forever. Well,
coming back to the incident, Jesus was
the only one who was left and He was the only one in that situation who could
have stoned her to death as He was and is the only sinless person, but He called her saying "woman" no
one could stone you and neither will I stone you. When He said woman,
which meant Mother in some of the popular translations of the Scriptures.
Jesus did address her as equal to as His mother was when She bore
him. We all know that Mary was a blessed woman who found the grace of God
followed by the filling of the Holy Spirit and then Jesus was born.
Evil to
Passover:
If
we believe that Jesus addressed her equal to His Mother, we must understand the
He is declaring His word of Grace upon Her exactly like how
Mary the Mother of Jesus found the grace of God. In that Case Mary lived the
life if a virgin until the Grace of God favored her, until the Holy Spirit
filled Her and until the Lord Jesus was conceived and delivered in and
through her life. There the grace has favored as Mary lived in the center of the
will of God and was found by God for a good cause. In the context of this woman
whom the law driven Jewish community chased, we see that she was stopped at the
place where Jesus was. In other words let us understand the Lord Jesus
transformed the life of this woman even though she did not deserved to escape
the cruel penalty of being stoned to death. No sin can over take Jesus but will
have to leave the sinner and Passover, similarly death, shame, debts, sickness
and so on. Every thing that causes harm to us will have to pass over us instead
of over as such ailments and consequences of Sin and curse will be transferred
on to Jesus and the life and glory of the Lord in the form of His Holy Blood,
Word and Spirit does enter into our lives to enable us to be Holy and there we
all are treated as holy and righteous by God the Farther in Heaven. Our prayers
are answered as we have the experience of having washed in the blood of Jesus,
and transformed in to His likeness through His precious Word and there the realm
of the Holy Spirit is enjoyed by us everyday.
Free from Sin:
The
woman who was brought to Jesus as a sinful woman was transformed to be as
precious and holy as His mother was. Mary was a virgin and lived a
righteous life and God picked her for Jesus to be born in her womb in a divine
way through His Holy Spirit. That Woman's life became as pure as white even
though her sins were like scarlet as Jesus took her shame, sin and curse from
off her shoulders and took it up on himself in order to let her go free. Jesus,
being the only one who could have stoned her did not choose to do so as He
had the sin of this woman transferred upon Him. This was the strongest reason
why Jesus did not and could not punish that woman who committed adultery. What a
privilege this woman had to get her sins transferred into the account of Jesus
and thus she become a holy person through the forgiveness that Jesus had offered
her.
He took our
place on the Cross: Similarly Jesus
healed sick, cleansed the lepers, comforted the mourning and rose up dead and
took their sin, sickness and the consequence of sin and its curse upon Himself
and carried everything through the cross that was laid upon Him to Calvary.
Jesus took every evil influence that mankind was facing on earth and took it
upon Himself, carried it to Golgotha, a place of skull there He nailed it in His
body by allowing his body to be nailed in the hands of those cruel Roman
soldiers so that we might be saved. He died that we might be freed to life and
that is the abundant life which the Lord Jesus Victoriously gained for us and
provided the eternal life to all those who believe in Him. In other words I
would say He took our place or He died in our place. Yes! Jesus carried us
to safety and He gave himself into the hands of the tormentors on our behalf and set
us free. You need not suffer now the torment of the devil but gladly cast it
upon the Lord Jesus as He already bore all our grief's' sorrows and sufferings
upon Himself.
He cares for
you!
Yes!
in deed He cares for you, me and everyone who trusts in Him and His living and
unfailing Word.
Casting all your
care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
We must remember that
Jesus cares for us. When the enemy tried to devour us we have a wonderful God
who cares for us. Today if you have know this truth would you not try to be
saved, protected and be secure in the arms of the Living God who is willing to
hide you under His powerful and mighty wings where no devil can ever touch you.
Did you cast
your cares up on Jesus? Today you and I have a privilege that we can always cast our cares
upon Him so that Jesus will remember that He carried them all at once in the
Cross of Calvary and protect us as we acknowledge that Jesus died for us as a
penalty for our sin. He surely has borne our griefs and carried our
sorrows.
About the Cross: Isaiah 53 is depicts the sufferings
of Jesus on the cross on behalf of mankind, it explains all the minute details
of the sufferings of Jesus which were written way back 700 Years before Jesus
was born as a prophecy. The Disciples of Jesus ran away from the Lord in the
garden of Gethsemane when he was arrested by the Roman soldiers and were later
inspired by the Holy Spirit and also God gave them the grace to learn about the
sufferings of Jesus from the eyewitnesses who shared with them. There was only
two prominent people who witnessed the crucifixion from the Group of Jesus one
is his closest disciple, John and the other is none other than His mother who
conceived Him by the power of the Holy Ghost and not by carnal and natural
method where a man and a woman will be united in flesh to bear a son. The
Depiction of the prophet Isaiah narrates a better version of the Cross even
though it was prophesied 700 years ago. Jesus was not even born into this world
as a baby when Isaiah could see the Lord’s arrival in to this World. However,
there are some special effects that can be noted from the writings of the
disciples too on crucifixion. They receive immense credentials for the timings
to indicate the history and the Government that was then ruling the nation of
Israel and the people who were present at the crucifixion who witnessed the
cruel torturing. Some people were from the house of the Chief Priest and some
from the disciple folk as Lord’s followers, watching men and weeping women,
mocking sojourners and thieves, the roman executioners who carried forward the
entire massacre as per the responsibility entrusted on them will serve better
purposes apologetically for the contemporary theologians, researchers, arguers
and so on. It is true the Jesus died for us. It is true the Jesus also rose up
form the Grave. The bible says:
“While
we were yet sinners Christ died for us”
The Lord carried the
nation of Israel from the land of Egypt but at some point Moses had a doubt if
the Lord was going to carry them all through the wilderness to the Promised
Land. He started to pray to the Lord saying if God's presence is not with Him He
cannot go there after any further.
And
he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exodus
33:15
God has a special
promise for His beloved people who believes and trusts in His unfailing love and
mercies. He said that He will carry us till the old age. How great is his love!
And
even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have
made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Isaiah 46:4
The Lord wants us to
guide us like how a shepherd shepherds his flock and the Lord wants us to carry
us in His arms to his bosom for sure security. He not only carries but also
leads us gently if we are willing to walk in His paths.
He shall feed his
flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in
his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
At the end of this
session I would like to remind as per the leading of God the Holy Spirit that
You and I must never forget that Jesus Not only cares for us but also carries
throught out our life's battles and leads us to the secure place according to
His promise in Psalm 23
Psalm 23: A Psalm of Security!
23:1 The LORD is
my shepherd; I shall not want. 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 23:3 He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 23:4 Yea,
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.23:5 Thou
preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over.23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for
ever.
A good Shepherd
not only cares for the sheep but also will be willing to lay His life for His
sheep on his own and no one can snatch His life from His hands but He himself
lays it for the safety of His sheep: so did Jesus on the Cross and so He saves
us from all danger even today as He alone has laid down His life for us. Jesus
loves us, Cares for us and also Jesus carries us! May the love of the
Father in heaven, the Grace of God and the sweet and unbreakable fellowship of
the Holy Spirit be with us now and for ever and Ever Amen & Amen
